Steam Autumn Sale 2026: the best deals — and the ones to skip
The Steam Autumn Sale is live until October 8 at 10:00 PT (19:00 CEST). Every deal site is posting the biggest percentages right now. We did something more useful: we took the 100 best-selling discounted games and checked each one against two things — what Steam itself charged for it earlier in 2026, and what the key stores we track charge today.
The short version: of those with enough price history to judge, 4 in 5 are at their lowest Steam price of the year, so for most of the sale’s best-sellers, today really is a good day to buy. But 1 in 6 was more than 10% cheaper at some point earlier this year: the badge says “−70%”, the price history says wait.
Prices checked on October 1, 2026, about two hours after the sale opened. Steam’s discounts are the same everywhere; prices below are from the European store, in euros, with the US price alongside where it matters. Our Steam price history starts in January 2026, so “lowest of the year” means exactly that, not “all-time low”. For start times and how the sale works, see our Autumn Sale 2026 guide.
New lows: the cheapest these games have been all year
Each of these is below anything Steam charged for it since January:
| Game | Sale price (EU / US) | Discount | Previous 2026 low |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition | €3.99 / $3.99 | −90% | €9.99 |
| ARC Raiders | €19.99 / $19.99 | −50% | €29.99 |
| The Outlast Trials | €3.89 / $3.99 | −90% | €10.20 |
| Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX | €14.99 / $14.99 | −70% | €17.99 |
| Last Epoch | €23.79 / $24.49 | −30% | €27.19 |
| Forza Horizon 6 | €55.99 / $55.99 | −20% | €59.49 |
ARC Raiders, one of last year’s biggest launches, drops to €19.99, a third below its previous low of €29.99. Skyrim Special Edition at €3.99 is the kind of price that makes the “should I finally play it?” question easy. And Forza Horizon 6 gets the deepest discount we’ve seen for it: −20% is modest, but it’s the cheapest it has been all year.
Steam wins: lowest price of the year, and no key is cheaper
During a big sale, Steam often beats the key stores outright. Every game here matches its lowest Steam price of 2026, and no Steam key we found that activates worldwide was meaningfully cheaper:
| Game | Steam price (EU / US) | Discount | Cheapest key we found |
|---|---|---|---|
| Baldur’s Gate 3 | €41.99 / $41.99 | −30% | — |
| Cyberpunk 2077 | €17.99 / $17.99 | −70% | — |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | €14.99 / $14.99 | −75% | — |
| Final Fantasy VII Rebirth | €14.99 / $14.99 | −70% | €19.99 (Instant Gaming) |
| Total War: Warhammer III | €8.99 / $8.99 | −85% | — |
| Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice | €29.99 / $29.99 | −50% | — |
| Crusader Kings III | €14.99 / $14.99 | −70% | — |
| Metaphor: ReFantazio | €27.99 / $27.99 | −60% | — |
| Hades | €6.12 / $6.24 | −75% | — |
| Far Cry 6 | €5.99 / $5.99 | −90% | — |
”—” means we found no Steam key that activates worldwide at the stores we track.
Baldur’s Gate 3 rarely goes on sale, and right now the key stores don’t undercut it: €41.99 matches its 2026 low. Cyberpunk 2077 (€17.99) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (€14.99) are the same story. Buy these on Steam.
Keys that still beat the sale price
On other games the key stores are still cheaper than Steam’s sale price. Every offer below is a Steam key (not a gift, not another launcher’s key), standard edition, and activates worldwide:
| Game | Steam sale price | Key price | Store | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Disney Dreamlight Valley | €23.99 | €15.99 | Instant Gaming (worldwide) | −33% |
| Age of Wonders 4 | €24.99 | €17.36 | Eneba (worldwide) | −31% |
| The Last of Us Part I | €29.99 | €21.22 | Yuplay (worldwide) | −29% |
| Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered | €23.99 | €17.63 | Eneba (worldwide) | −27% |
| Resident Evil Requiem | €48.99 | €36.39 | Yuplay (worldwide) | −26% |
| Kingdom Come: Deliverance II | €23.99 | €18.35 | Eneba (worldwide) | −24% |
| Dark Souls III | €29.99 | €22.78 | Yuplay (worldwide) | −24% |
| Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 | €40.19 | €31.90 | Yuplay (worldwide) | −21% |
| Hades II | €20.29 | €16.20 | Instant Gaming (worldwide) | −20% |
Key stores charge in euros, so the saving above compares euros with euros. If you pay in dollars, compare against Steam’s US price: the gap is usually smaller once you convert, which is why we only list savings of 15% or more. Before you buy outside Steam, read how to buy Steam keys safely; and if you’re tempted by a cheaper “gift” listing, here’s why we don’t count those.
The “−70%” that isn’t a deal
These carry big badges, but Steam sold every one of them for less earlier this year:
| Game | Price now | Badge | Steam price earlier in 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stellaris | €14.99 | −70% | €9.99 as recently as September 18 |
| Hearts of Iron IV | €14.99 | −70% | €9.99 in June and July |
| Persona 5 Royal | €17.99 | −70% | €11.99 in late April and early May |
| Stardew Valley | €9.79 | −30% | €6.99 between March and May |
| Schedule I | €13.65 | −30% | €11.70 in the Summer Sale |
| Project Zomboid | €17.07 | −33% | €13.06 in the spring and Summer Sales |
Stellaris is the clearest case: it cost €9.99 on Steam as recently as September 18, two weeks before the sale, and today’s “−70%” is €14.99. Project Zomboid carries the same −33% badge it had in the summer, yet costs more, because its base price went up from €19.50 to €25.49.
If you don’t want to wait for the Winter Sale (December 17), the key stores already beat Steam on some of these: Stellaris from €10.14 at Yuplay (worldwide key).
How to use this list
- Prices move. Steam’s won’t change until October 8, but key-store prices shift during the sale. Click any game above for live prices across every store we track.
- Check the region before paying for a key. Our guide to regional keys explains the labels.
- Use the price history, not the percentage. It’s the single habit that separates a real deal from a recurring discount: how to check any game’s price history.
If you’d rather not do this by hand, our free browser extension does the comparison on the Steam page itself, and tells you how the price compares with the game’s lowest.
In short
- Most best-sellers are at their lowest Steam price of 2026: good week to buy
- Some are new lows: ARC Raiders, Skyrim Special Edition, Forza Horizon 6
- Steam beats every key on Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2
- Keys are still cheaper on games like Disney Dreamlight Valley, Age of Wonders 4, The Last of Us Part I
- Skip the fake deals: Stellaris, Persona 5 Royal and Hearts of Iron IV were cheaper earlier this year
- The sale ends October 8; the next big one is the Winter Sale, from December 17
