Where to buy Robux cheaper — and why every 'free Robux' site is a scam

Robux is one of the most-searched digital currencies on the internet, and also one of the most scammed. This guide covers the two things that actually matter: how to pay less legitimately, and how to recognise the sites that exist to steal your account.

First: every “free Robux generator” is a scam. All of them.

There is no exception to this, and it’s worth being blunt because the people most targeted are kids:

• Roblox has no API that creates free Robux. None. It cannot exist, so anything claiming to do it is lying about its basic function.
• The “human verification” step exists to make you install adware or complete affiliate offers that pay the scammer
• Sites asking for your Roblox password are stealing the account outright — Roblox will never ask for it outside roblox.com
• “Enter your username and we’ll send Robux” is a phishing setup, even when no password is requested

The only legitimate ways to get Robux without paying are earning them: Roblox Premium’s monthly stipend, selling items or passes in your own experience, and the DevEx programme. Everything else is a scam.

How Robux pricing actually works

Three things determine what you really pay per Robux:

1. Pack size: larger packs give more Robux per euro. Buying one big pack beats several small ones for the same total spend — this is the single easiest saving and most people miss it.
2. Roblox Premium: subscribers get a monthly Robux stipend and a bonus on purchases. If you buy Robux regularly, run the numbers — Premium often costs less than the extra Robux it hands you.
3. Where you buy: this is the part nobody checks.

Gift cards vs buying inside the app

Buying Robux inside the mobile app is usually the worst option: Apple and Google take a platform cut, and that cost lands in the price. Buying on the Roblox website is better. Gift cards are better still, because they can be discounted by the retailer.

A gift card is redeemed by you at roblox.com/gift-cards — nobody needs access to your account, which also makes it the safest format to buy from a third party.

Where gift cards cost less

Roblox gift cards are sold by plenty of retailers, and third-party marketplaces routinely price them below the official store. Two practical notes before buying anywhere:

• Check the region on the card. Gift cards can be region-specific, and a card for the wrong region won’t redeem — exactly the same trap as regional Steam keys.
• Buy the biggest denomination you’ll actually use. A discounted $50 card beats five discounted $10 cards on Robux-per-euro twice over: bigger pack rate and one discount applied to a larger sum.

The safety checklist

The rules are the same ones we apply to game keys, and they’ve never failed:

1. Buy on a platform with payment protection — never through a DM, Discord or social media “seller”
2. Never give anyone your Roblox password. Ever. A legitimate gift card never needs it
3. Redeem the code yourself at roblox.com — if a seller offers to “add the Robux for you”, it’s a scam
4. Distrust extreme outliers: 10% under retail is a normal discount; 70% under is stolen or fake
5. Pay with a method that allows disputes (card or PayPal)
